Balkonowy ogródek 2026 - spore zmiany

This year, I decided to make some major changes to my balcony garden. The changes took place on the balcony itself, as it underwent a major renovation. I also added special folding shelves for potential planters and installed LED lighting.

W tym roku postanowiłem wprowadzić spore zmiany w moim balkonowym ogródku. Zmiany nastąpiły już w samym balkonie, bo przeszedł generalny remont, a do tego dobudowałem specjalne półki składane na ewentualne donice i zamontowałem oświetlenie LED.

I started the seed sowing season in February, but as it turned out, that was too late for peppers, as it should have started in January. But the strong plants quickly caught up in May and June.

Sezon wysiewania nasion zacząłem już w lutym, jak się jednak okazało, dla papryk to zbyt późno, bo powinien zacząć się już w styczniu. Ale silne rośliny szybko nadgoniły w maju i w czerwcu.

A big change was buying a small greenhouse. At home, it worked perfectly for sowing seeds on the windowsill, but in the spring, it was moved to the balcony, where it serves as an incubator for exotic and heat-loving plants – it also works well there.

Dużą zmianą było kupienie małej szklarni foliowej, która w domu na parapecie sprawdziła się doskonale do wysiewu, a wiosną wylądowała na balkonie i jest inkubatorem dla roślin egzotycznych i ciepłolubnych - tam też zdaje egzamin.

This year, I decided to approach growing plants professionally, following the principles of gardening. To this end, I prepared the soil properly, bought a lot of natural fertilizers and organic plant protection products, and cared for the plants by the book.

Postanowiłem w tym roku podejść do uprawy profesjonalnie, zgodnie z zasadami ogrodnictwa. W tym celu odpowiednio przygotowałem glebę, kupiłem sporo naturalnych nawozów i ekologicznych środków ochrony roślin, a pielęgnację roślin prowadziłem książkowo.

I am incredibly surprised by the results of my garden. Even though my balcony faces east and there's no sun at 1 p.m., the plants are growing perfectly. They're huge, lush, and robust.

Efektem mojego ogródka jestem niesamowicie zaskoczony. Mimo, iż mam balkon na wschodnią stronę i o godzinie 13 nie ma tam już słońca, to rośliny rosną doskonale. Są ogromne soczyste i solidne.

The number of flowers, both unpollinated and those already bearing fruit, is several times greater than last year. From my observations, the pepper and tomato plants will need special supports, otherwise the large fruits will break their stems.

Ilość kwiatów zarówno nie zapylonych i już z zawiązanymi owocami jest kilka razy większa niż w zeszłym roku. Z moich obserwacji wynika, że krzaki papryki i pomidorów będą musiały dostać specjalne podpory, bo inaczej wielkie owoce połamią im łodygi.

New additions to my garden include watermelons, which are already bearing small fruit. I also have lemongrass, Mexican cucumber, and kiwano. I'm treating these last two plants experimentally for now, as I've planted them for the first time. Nevertheless, the season promises to be very bountiful, as the plants are healthy.

Z nowości w moim ogrodzie są arbuzy, które już maja małe owoce. Do tego trawa cytrynowa, ogórek meksykański oraz kiwano. Te dwie ostatnie rośliny traktuję na razie eksperymentalnie, bo posadziłem je po raz pierwszy. Niemniej sezon zapowiada się bardzo obficie, bo rośliny są zdrowe.

I had a minor problem with aphids in the early stages of the peppers' development, but I've got it under control, and everything is fine now. Another report from the balcony will be posted soon, when significant changes in the plants' development occur.

Małym problemem były mszyce już we wczesnej fazie rozwoju papryki ale opanowałem sytuację i już wszystko jest w porządku. Kolejna relacja z balkonu już wkrótce, jak nastąpią istotne zmiany w rozwoju roślin.
