Flower. Alpinia purpurata. Red Ginger

When I lived in Maracay, I lived in a house, not in an apartment like now, I had a large garden of ornamental plants and flowers, among them this red flower that I never knew its name until now. I really don't know what people call it here, but it is very common in this area.

Alpinia purpurata, red ginger, also called ostrich plume and pink cone ginger, are native Malaysian plants with showy flowers on long brightly colored red bracts
