美轮美奂的银杏王/The magnificent ginkgo tree
中国是植物活化石银杏的原产地，树龄上千年，有"银杏王"之称有许多，都很有历史文化价值，其中较出名，有文化背景意义的主要有以下。至于谁是最大最古老的，难以作出评定。
“银杏王”胸围达6.8米，需五六个人才能将其合抱。树高23米，苍劲挺拔，足有七八层楼房高。平均冠幅19米，最长的树枝长到了河对岸。银杏树下部的根系盘根错节，密密麻麻，裸露在外的树根就有90多米长，几十米外的学校球场上，也能看到裸露在外的树根。由于是雄性，所以并没有果实累累的景象。
