Under Treatment Over The Rainbow

Hola, Queridos Hivers!

Quiero compartir con ustedes, primeramente, lo emocionada que me siento porque ya estoy cumpliendo el ciclo 7 de 10!

La meta se veía tan lejana al comenzar, y ahora siento que todo ha pasado súper rápido, gracias a Dios. Ya solo me faltarían 3 ciclos más, sin contar el que estoy recibiendo ahorita!
Dios es grande y misericordioso. Y la médicina es mágica. 🙏🏼

El lunes, como ya es costumbre los lunes de consulta, mi papá se fue en la madrugada al banco de sangre para poder conseguir un número no tan lejano, y así no tener que pasar todo el día allí y poder recibir mi tratamiento temprano.
Logró conseguir el 5, mi número favorito jejeje.

Total que entré a consulta a eso de las 11:30am y después de que la doctora nos dijera que todo estaba bien, me fui directo a recibir mi tratamiento.

Fueron días normales y cariñosos todos (aunque debo resaltar que particularmente el lunes hacía mucho frío jejeje).
Conocí a las nuevas enfermeras que se unieron al equipo hace poco, le canté cumpleaños a una de las que ya conocía, me reencontrŕ con mis compañeros de tratamiento, que son muy amables, y muchas cosas más!

Diría que el día más lindo fue el viernes, porque a pesar de que no lo tenía planeado, les canté Somewhere Ovee the Rainbow a mis enfermeras y las pocas pacientes que estaban en la sala.

Fue algo muy espontaneo, pero se sintió muy bien, y lo más importante, ellas lo disfrutaron mucho!

Sé que para ellas debe ser dificil trabajar en ese lugar, encariñarse con pacientes que a veces no logran seguir luchando, y ver a niños que desde tan temprana edad ya están sufriendo esas inyecciones, así que yo a veces con mi canto intento animarlas un poco, y hacerlas ver que hacen un gran trabajo, y que vale la pena.

Hello, dear Hivers!

I want to share with you, first of all, how excited I am because I'm already completing cycle 7 of 10!

The goal seemed so far away at the beginning, and now I feel like everything has gone by super fast, thank God. I only have 3 more cycles left, not counting the one I'm receiving right now!
God is great and merciful. And medicine is magical. 🙏🏼

On Monday, as it is customary on Monday appointments, my dad went to the blood bank early in the morning to get a number that wasn't too far off, so we wouldn't have to spend all day there and could get my treatment early.

He managed to get a 5, my favorite number, hahaha.

So, I went in for my appointment around 11:30 a.m., and after the doctor told us that everything was fine, I went straight to receive my treatment.

They were all normal and loving days (although I must point out that Monday was particularly cold, hahaha).
I met the new nurses who had recently joined the team, sang happy birthday to one of the nurses I already knew, reconnected with my treatment colleagues, who are very kind, and much more!

I'd say the most beautiful day was Friday, because even though I hadn't planned it, I sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to my nurses and the few patients who were in the room.

It was very spontaneous, but it felt great, and most importantly, they really enjoyed it!

I know it must be difficult for them to work in that place, to bond with patients who sometimes can't keep fighting, and to see children who are already suffering from those injections at such a young age. So sometimes I try to cheer them up a little with my singing and make them see that they do a great job, and that it's worth it.

I love them very much! 🥹💜
