Time for MAW to retire...

Time to take a long-deserved rest.

@make-a-whale was created many moons ago in order to help those who struggled to find their feet and upvote support from larger steemians. The idea was always to give a little more than we got and I feel we achieved that and that we supported quite a bit of people over the years.

Sadly, with #newsteem rules and outlooks on what is abuse and what isn't I feel that MAW might be seen in a bad light. The last thing I want is for the "Saints" to come after us and start flagging the members who belong to MAW. So effective immediately there will no longer be bonuses for upvotes or Steem sent to MAW. For those who delegated to MAW you can remove your delegation or keep it active to continue showing support to the remaining members.

Upvotes will be divided evenly to all active members (around 20%) and the remaining Steem in the account will be used to keep the active leases paid for until we eventually run out. We think about a month or so. Thereafter MAW will keep upvoting members with whatever SP we have left and in the end, when things get too quiet we might power down or find other ways to show support to great steemians who deserve it.

Thank you for showing MAW so much support over so many moons and I hope that MAW helped you grow in that time. It was a pleasure sharing some upvotes and support, but now with #newsteem I think things will be brighter once it all gets ironed out and cleaned up. Best of luck to everyone!
