Why is tea called cha in Bengali but chai in other South Asian languages
The Arabic and cognate languages also have something similar to sha to cha or tea (which sounds like Chinese te/ tea/chia
It is indeed interesting that the English term , the Farsi and Sanskrit to Bangla is the same world that changed over time and place, with some variations across European languages and Indic and Persian languages. Almost all words are like this.
