Pineapple Twist - First time blacksmithing
My first time turning a railroad spike into a knife. The next rainy day I will pound out the rest and share the progress. Let me start by saying blacksmiths are beasts. I swing hammers often but boy does my arm hurt.
To start the pineapple twist. Get your metal hot and pound out a straight line on all 4 sides.
After your lines are done get it super hot and put a full then on the end.
Hammer it square again and put another line in all 4 sides.
Last step for the twist. Get it hot and do a half turn back in the opposite direction.
This is as far as I have gotten aside from the start of the blade. Good luck if you try your own. Share with me if you try it.
Till next time don't forget to upvote and follow.
