First of all, I want to sincerely thank the Hive Open Mic community for the constant support and for maintaining such a meaningful space where music becomes a bridge between hearts. Week after week, it is truly a blessing to be part of this family and to share something deeper than just sound.

For this week’s theme, Sacrifice, I felt called to present something that reflects the heart of Holy Week. Today I bring an acoustic version of “Las Siete Palabras” by Eduardo, a piece inspired by the final words of Jesus on the Cross—words filled with love, surrender, mercy, and redemption.

Para el tema de esta semana, Sacrificio, sentí el llamado a presentar algo que reflejara el corazón de la Semana Santa. Hoy traigo una versión acústica de “Las Siete Palabras” de Eduardo, una obra inspirada en las últimas palabras de Jesús en la Cruz—palabras llenas de amor, entrega, misericordia y redención.

This arrangement is intentionally simple and intimate, centered on acoustic expression to allow the melody to carry the weight of the message. In this sacred time, I wanted the music to invite reflection, to slow us down, and to contemplate the depth of Christ’s sacrifice.

Este arreglo es intencionalmente sencillo e íntimo, centrado en una expresión acústica que permite que la melodía lleve el peso del mensaje. En este tiempo sagrado, quise que la música invite a la reflexión, a detenernos y contemplar la profundidad del sacrificio de Cristo.

Each phrase in this piece echoes one of the seven last words—moments that reveal forgiveness, thirst, abandonment, trust, and ultimately, fulfillment. It is not just a song, but a meditation.

Cada frase en esta pieza evoca una de las siete palabras—momentos que revelan perdón, sed, abandono, confianza y, finalmente, cumplimiento. No es solo una canción, sino una meditación.
