Adult children
Recently I saw a discussion show online. In short, the program host set up a board during the show, and the meeting participants had to draw a tree of life. The adults invited to the blackboard remained indifferent because they did not know how to draw. Meanwhile, the children could not fit on the blackboard, because everyone knew how to draw. And then the question arose for me - how do 100 percent of children who know how to draw grow to 0 percent of adults who do not know how to draw?
I remember myself as a child and teenager. After all, I could draw and sing, and especially write. Even poems. The kind of ones that I would cry myself out reading, because they were dedicated to my first unrequited loves or imaginary perfect princes. Now I can't write poems anymore. Neither drawing nor singing, when I think about it - I can't do anything at all. But like when I was a child, I always want to learn something. Only children learn diligently, daily, patiently, dutifully. Not like me at all.
When we become an adult, we start to do the most destructive thing in the world - we start to judge. We evaluate ourselves, others - everyone around us. If we write, we think it's worthless text. If we try singing, we convince ourselves that we have no hearing. We are afraid to try something new because we will look stupid. We don't trust a person, because we know in advance he will betray us. We want a beautiful figure, but we are not able to do sports for a long time - it's all for one day. We want to be happy and create the life of our dreams, but not here, not now...
We evaluate for long, boring and evaluate everything. Little children smile at every person. An interested child can spend hours exploring one toy. He still sees the world as beautiful, and then he sees an example that he will live by for the rest of his life. An example of us who can't do anything.
I tried to do a lot of things today. Write, do sports, play with children. I even baked a cake. I did great. Tomorrow I will do even better. And I have to repeat that better and better every day. Until it becomes simple, as everything is simple for a child.
