Between Cold Brew Bubbles and Watercolors
"Coffee helps those who sleep little and dream much." — Anonymous.
There are two elements that bring me back to my center, and both involve water. When they blend, the world narrows down to just two protagonists: my coffee and my art. It is at this intersection where I allow myself to dream; I envision a future where I can illustrate distant corners of the world—an ambition fueled by my recent fascination with the urban sketching movement.
The Atmosphere of Shared Silence
Sometimes, the perfect environment requires no words. A cozy spot, the quiet kindness of the baristas, and a bit of jazz in the background create the ideal stage to simply breathe. In these moments of abstraction, my senses find renewal. Looking at the menu felt like an invitation to explore—to go beyond the usual Americano and seek a different experience.
A Sensory Explosion: Cold Brew & Tonic
Today’s choice was a Cold Brew with lemon and sparkling water.
From the moment it hit the table, the floral and fruity aroma hinted at something special; it was as if the coffee notes exploded with every bubble of carbonation. The twist of lemon elevated the freshness to another level.
As I enjoyed the drink prepared by Yuss, I felt the need to immortalize the moment. I have decided that this will be my new hobby: practicing drawing inspired by these unique instances of introspection.
Solitude as a Sanctuary
There is a special beauty in being surrounded by strangers, curious gestures, the distant murmur of conversations, and a bit of chaos behind the counter—all while remaining in my own little world. No decisions to make, no overheard conversations to interrupt the flow of my thoughts, and no questions about what I’m doing. Just me, enjoying life with a cup of coffee. After all, it’s not about being alone, but about learning to enjoy one’s own company amid the murmur of the world.
I'm sorry I don't have the sketch process anymore, but my phone's memory decided it was time for a reset.
