Structured, moving and patterns
When I walk in the street with my camera, I always feel like lines shadows, patterns are quietly arranging themselves into a composition. The geometry within somehow speak a special language. These four black and white photos came from those walks where I wasn’t really chasing a story, just following the geometry around me.
The first frame happened on the seaside. I was sitting on the bench across the wooden hand rails and enjoying the sea behind it, and suddenly I saw that woman resting in the open air, I directed my camera to the opening between the lines. In the foreground the legs were moving, the middle frame was static, and the background had some more blurred geometric shapes. I liked this three-layer feeling, the frame was revealing and hiding things at the same moment.
In the second photo, the criss-cross metal beams caught my attention even before the people walking inside. There was something hypnotic about the repetition of the lines, almost like a cage of geometry. I waited for someone to pass between the shapes, just enough to add a bit of life without breaking the rhythm.
The third one was the same overpass tunnel framed in image 2. I crossed many times before, but that day the light strips on the ceiling looked stronger. The person walking in front of me became a silhouette naturally, and the whole scene felt like a short, simple journey from one side to another. I didn’t try to control anything, just pressed the shutter at the first moment that felt right.
And the last frame… this one gave me a quiet feeling. The sea, the slow ferry, the blurred people moving in front. The lines of the wooden fence held everything together. I liked how the still and the moving elements were living in the same space.
These photos are small pieces of how I experience the city: structured, moving, and full of hidden patterns if you slow down enough to notice.
All the best…
