From Pain to Progress: Questioning the Value of Hive
I've been pushing my body to its limits lately—subjecting myself to intense, brutal physical challenges. After the nightmare of last year, spent in and out of hospitals, I feel oddly grateful to have the strength to do this. Yet, the experience has led me to reflect on how I've almost completely left behind this platform (Hive). I’ve stepped away because I’ve been focusing on building real-world skills, things that I can actively apply and rely on beyond the virtual world.
I’m curious, though—what are you seeing here on Hive? Do you feel that this space offers any real opportunities, useful insights, or monetizable content? For me, it feels like things have stayed more or less the same over the last 2-3 years, without any significant change in engagement or value. I once believed Hive might be a platform to earn decent income from writing, but it seems most, if not all, have walked away from that vision.
What’s your experience? Has anything changed? Or are we all just navigating this space, hoping for something that’s just out of reach?
