Feliz jueves de #tbt queridos hivers, gusto en saludarlos e invitarlos a compartir sus #tbt un día como hoy aquí en esta maravillosa comunidad de @topfamily de la mano del amigo @lanzjoseg, quien jueves a jueves nos da la oportunidad de rememorar esos momentos únicos y especiales que dejaron una huella en nosotros; si aun no te has animado a concursar en "Una Foto, Una Historia, Un Día de esos" , aqui abajo te dejo el link para que te enteres de todos los detalles.

Como pueden ver la foto que les comparto en esta ocasión data de algún tiempito atrás, 25 años para ser exacta, aquí estoy trabajando en mi tesis, con la que fue mi primera computadora, recuerdo que era marca IBM y me la regalo mi papá, con mucho sacrificio, ya que en ese tiempo no era fácil adquirir estos equipos. Recuerdo el día que la fuimos a buscar a la tienda, yo estaba muy emocionada por tener mi propia computadora, ya que en la universidad cuando necesitaba hacer los trabajos los tenia que mandar a pasar con personas que prestaban ese servicio en los cybers, en fin me pareció un sueño cuando destapaba todos los equipos y la instalaba en mi casa, recuerdo que mi papá llamo a un vecino para que le instalara el office ya que no lo tenia y le pusiera uno que otro programa que necesitaba; y adicionalmente compramos la impresora que era marca canon, muy buena tanto así que aun la conservo, aunque no la tengo operativa.

Al ver esta foto se me vienen a mi mente muchos recuerdos bonitos de mi época universitaria, ese último semestre estuve literalmente en ese espacio de mi casa que acondicione como oficina casi todos los días por cuatro meses, elaborando mi trabajo de grado, solo descansaba un par de horas y me sentaba frente al monitor de nuevo, esfuerzo que valió la pena ya que obtuve la calificación máxima de 10 puntos por parte del jurado a quien se la presente.

Aunque era joven valoraba cada esfuerzo que hacían mis padres para que yo obtuviera mi titulo de profesional, mis padres me apoyaron mucho con todo lo que necesitaba, por ello el día de mi graduación mi medalla y mi titulo se los dedique a ellos con mucho orgullo de tener unos padres amorosos y preocupados por mi progreso y bienestar. Cuando empecé a trabajar, ya me había casado y pude regalarle yo a mi papá una computadora para que el también tuviera la suya en casa y disfrutara de navegar por internet, ya que la empresa de telefonía te ofrecía los planes equipados opte por suscribirlo a uno y aprovechar esa promoción, queriendo retribuirle en algo a mi querido padre de todo lo que el me dio durante el tiempo que viví con ellos. Como siempre un gusto en compartirle mis anécdotas, hasta una nueva oportunidad.

As you can see, the photo I’m sharing this time dates back quite a while—25 years, to be exact. Here I am working on my thesis on my very first computer. I remember it was an IBM model that my dad gave me; it involved a lot of sacrifice on his part, since acquiring such equipment wasn't easy back then. I remember the day we went to pick it up at the store; I was so excited to have my own computer. Before that, whenever I needed to complete university assignments, I had to pay people at internet cafes to type them up for me. It felt like a dream unboxing all the equipment and setting it up at home. I recall my dad calling a neighbor to install Microsoft Office—since it didn't come with it—and to add a few other programs I needed. We also bought a Canon printer; it was such a great machine that I still have it today, even though it’s no longer in working order.

Seeing this photo brings back many fond memories of my university days. During that final semester, I spent almost the entire day for four months in the space at home I had set up as an office, working on my thesis; I would rest for just a couple of hours before sitting back down in front of the monitor. It was an effort that paid off, as I received the top grade—a perfect 10—from the panel that reviewed my work.

Even though I was young, I deeply appreciated every effort my parents made to help me earn my professional degree. They supported me with everything I needed, so on graduation day, I proudly dedicated my medal and diploma to them, grateful to have parents who were so loving and invested in my progress and well-being. By the time I started working, I was already married and was able to gift my father a computer so he could have one at home and enjoy browsing the internet. Since the phone company offered bundled plans, I signed him up for one to take advantage of the promotion—a small way to repay my dear father for everything he had given me while I lived with them.
