When I first visited Cloud Gate—affectionately known as "The Bean"— in Chicago's Millennium Park, I had a flood of first impressions. Shaped like a giant bean the polished surface shone brightly reflecting the towering buildings, sky, and lively crowds. Almost like a magical mirror capturing the city’s vibrant energy.

Seeing it again gave me a deeper appreciation for its beauty, craftsmanship, and the way it connects people to their surroundings in such a unique way. And most importantly I am with members of my family.

We enjoyed walking around and underneath it, having fun, giggling at the distorted images of us and other people around, the skyline, and the surrounding park. We had a grand time posing for photos and selfies, capturing precious moments with family.

If you’ve been to The Bean once, I highly recommend revisiting. Each time offers a new perspective, shaped by the time of day. The Bean's role is more than art; it’s a symbol of connection, reflecting the city’s vibrancy and diversity.
