Phone Photography Contest - #74
I'm a country girl. And I love taking pictures of rural scenes.
These little houses really catch my eye because they're located very close to a garbage dump.
Yeah, a garbage dump.
However, these little houses are spotless. The ground is always swept, the houses are very clean, and even the jobo tree. In the afternoons, its owners put out a basket full of it for people to take away.
And look, it's not easy to keep the weeds clean during the rainy season and the dirt floor immaculate with mango trees. Mango trees shed a lot of leaves every day, and during mango season, they fall and rot very quickly.
I learned that the people who live in that community organized to burn and handle the garbage, and I believe it because the house looks radically better.
The saying "it's not how humble a house is, but how clean it is" definitely applies here.
