Boys Can Cry

While sitting in the garden, I saw a boy who was about 20 years old crying. I don't know why he was crying. After that, some of his friends laughed and made fun of the boy. someone said, "Boys why to cry?" Then in my mind, I asked, "So what if there is a boy who cries?"

Some of my male friends sometimes share stories with me about life's problems which are very difficult. sometimes I advise him to just cry first, then come back to me to tell stories. yeah, that's how it is.

Crying is not only a privilege for girls, anyone has the right to cry, both boys and girls. Biologically, crying is a condition where salt water comes out of our eyes when we are injured or feeling stressed. this applies to all living things.

Again, gender constructs come in very annoyingly. Social society distinguishes gender so that there are rules which in my opinion are of no quality and are not important. For example, girls should be like this and that, boys should not be like this and that, or vice versa. To me, this is a Toxic Masculinity that is not important and has no quality at all.

When you forbid or sneer at a boy who is crying, you are not providing a better solution for those who are suffering or stressed. I am sure that the wounds and suffering that continue to accumulate in the mind without ever being vented will become an explosion capable of destroying one day.

Many people stigmatize boys who cry as weak and whiny. I think, on the other hand, they are strong and brave, because they are not ashamed to do what their heart desires. If you want and need to cry, just do it. Don't care what other people say.
