Monthly Author Challenge #02 - A dying tree
Mein Freund der Baum ist tot, er starb im frühen Morgenrot. Ich musste an das wunderschln melancholische Lied von Alexandra denken, als ich an diesem sterbenden Baum vorbeigefahren bin. Er steht so seit dem letzten Herbststurm und kein Mitarbeiter vom städtischen Forstamt erbarmt sich seiner.
My friend the tree is dead, he died in the early dawn. I had to think of Alexandra's beautiful and melancholic song as I passed this dying tree. He has been standing like this since the last autumn storm and noone from the municipal forestry department has ever taken pity on him and cut him down for good.
Hang in there, big guy.
