A New Year, A New Hot Spring!!
I know I have been AWOL for months, but I really am still here and still a steemit enthusiast. I am hoping that life will settle down just a bit and that I can post more consistently. My wife and I finally got a little "play time" last week, I consider that a promising sign! We headed out to find a local hot spring that we have heard about ever since we moved here. We were warned that it is not really a soaker, but we just like to go see them even if we can't jump in. This one is named for a local creek and several years ago we drove the entire length of that creek, clear up to the headwaters on the mountain. No sign of a hot spring. Well... it is not on that creek, not even in that drainage. After finally get tipped off to THAT little fact, we successfully located the geothermal wonder. It turns out it IS a soaker if you do not mind sharing with "the regulars." We passed, we are hot spring snobs. We do not soak with anyone who pees in the pool...
