Planting isn't just a hobby, it's a lifestyle. It teaches you many important lessons about life and not only about planting skills. It makes you learn about patience and how rewarding it is, not giving up, and it makes your mental health better because when you simply step into your balcony/garden, and drink your morning coffee next your plants while staring at every single detail in what you planted and waited for. It feels relaxing! And another thing that planting teaches you, is not wasting anything. And I actually tried this and it's pretty cool! You know when you open the fridge, and you see a tomato that's going bad, all you have to do is slice it in half, plant the seeds and since you can't eat the tomato itself, doesn't mean that you're throwing it in the garbage, but instead, you're going to cut it into small pieces and put them on your plants' soil, it starts to get moldy, which is great for your soil. And if you have a garden, it's even better! You can get a large container, maybe smaller than a garbage bin, you can fill it with soil and worms, these worms will eat your organic waste, and don't worry it's not disgusting, it's delicious for your plants. Then the worms die in the container and their bodies decompose and now your soil is full of nutrients! And I actually did this too, I have a large container full of soil and worms that will eat me if I go inside. And my plants are thriving!
