#FungiFriday. Hidden in an old unused building in a building near our house
I found these living on an old dead tree on the inside of a disused building near our house
The building is a an old Avery. The dead trees are in the half of the building that does not have a roof. It has a wire mesh over the top which give you the illusion of being in an open sky.
The trees are all dead and rotting, but there is a lot of fungi living on the rotting wood. We will be removing the rotting timber at some point and ill put it somewhere were I hope the fungi can still live and spread from.
I posted some small mushrooms a couple of weeks ago. I generally go back and try and find them to see if they have grown but most of the time they've been eaten. I came across this one a few days ago for the first time. It looks very similar to others I posted. It looks much shinier as it had been raining. Its certainly bigger than the others i found, but i think they are the same species.
Thank you for reading this far and have a lovely week whatever your doing !
