Capernaum
Capernaum - the city of Jesus, written at the entrance to the western part of the ancient city. Once there was a fishing village where the apostle Peter was born, where Jesus preached and performed miracles. Now it is an archaeological complex with the ruins of the octagonal church of St. Peter, built in the place where his house supposedly stood, and the ruins of the White Synagogue of the 4th century, more like an ancient Roman temple.
