Man sinned, and had fallen short of God's glory, but God, out of love, decided to restore man's position of authority and the gift of life that he lost. This He did by sending Jesus to be the ultimate sacrifice for all our sins. He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God. There is no greater love.
John 15:13
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
