Random Visions in the City
I selected a sample of photographs taken at various points throughout the year. The atmosphere changes with the seasons giving familiar places different moods.
The first image shows a pool that is being prepared for the summer season. Imagine how cool it is to swim there overlooking the ocean, and the blue sky on a hot summer day.
Why do these following rocks give me pagan vibes? I snapped this shot at sunset, You can see the wonderful light striking the building, and the sky in the background creating a nice golden halo effect, while the large rocks on the foreground remain in the shadows. It must've been a challenge positioning those boulders. A nod to the artists and whatever ocean gods they're worshipping.

Downtown is being dolled up in anticipation of the world cup. This mural is bold and gives me an 80s or 90s pop-vibes mixed with native art style. It's about time we threw some paint around and liven up the place.
I love it when I can get training on the field on a totally random subject. As you can see, there's plenty of traffic in the ocean, so ship spotting is a fun exercise
The hedges have been sculpted into humanoid shapes that create some rather unsettling effects as one moves across the street. It's very artistic and strange. I just noticed the smiling heads on the ground. I thought they were just flowers. Pure madness. Heh!
The Olympic Truce refers to an ancient Greek tradition of pausing conflicts to provide safe passage to athletes and audience to the games. Maybe we should just assume that life is an Olympic sized game and we're all the athletes.
