Colours in the City

As the fall season rolls along, nature is bursting with colours in the city. Soon, the trees will be bare, a scraggly naked version of their former selves as they prepare for the coming winter. But they won't go without first putting on a fashion show with their leafy vibrant style.

Just imagine stepping out after drinking coffee, and the coffee starts hitting you as you look around at all the colours- left, right, above, and under you as you kick the leaves on the ground with woosh woosh sound around your feet and childlike glee. If you put on some coloured shades, then the visual fun is magnified manifold. 😎

Some of these trees look huge, like they've been around the block for awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if a few are more than a hundred years old. Usually nature-loving people gravitate to the west coast, and it shows in many respects including the abundance of trees.

The afternoon sunlight threw nice soft shadows on the scene.

These neighbourhoods get very dramatic this time of the year. It's cool to be able to step out and enjoy nature right outside the door while city amenities are only a few blocks away. Not bad for those crazy west coast hippies, eh?
