Pues en el juego el jugador será arrojado a este oscuro futuro. La metrópolis de Night City es un lugar creado para contarnos la historia de un individuo que creció en sus calles y que trata de levantarse y encontrar un modo de sobrevivir entre las mafias locales y las megacorporaciones, en una ciudad de suciedad y decadencia.

En fin drogas, violencia, pobreza y exclusión no han desaparecido en el año 2077 y la gente ha seguido estando como lo era hace siglos, egoísta, de mente cerrada y débil. Pero además no sólo los fantasmas del pasado preocupan a la humanidad, sino que nuevos problemas han aparecido. Los psicópatas se acumulan, y las calles están llenas de adictos a una nueva forma de entretenimiento: el Braindance, una forma barata de experimentar las emociones y el estímulo de otras personas que viven una vida más emocionante. Está súper genial.

For in the game the player will be thrown into this dark future. The metropolis of Night City is a place created to tell us the story of an individual who grew up on its streets and who tries to get up and find a way to survive among local mafias and megacorporations, in a city of filth and decay.

Finally, drugs, violence, poverty and exclusion have not disappeared in the year 2077 and people have remained as they were centuries ago, selfish, closed-minded and weak. In addition, not only the ghosts of the past worry mankind, but new problems have appeared. Psychopaths pile up, and the streets are filled with addicts to a new form of entertainment: Braindance, a cheap way to experience the emotions and encouragement of other people who live a more exciting life.
