My introduction!

Hello, I’m Lily!

Or, well, that's my pen name. I am a novice writer, and I "specialize" in poetry, though I do have some bigger projects in mind. I’m mostly planning on posting my work here on steemit, with hopes that some of you will take a liking to my writing style, or the topics I write about. If I had to describe my stories and poems I would say they are bittersweet, in a way. They're always fairly short, and describe dark things that dwell in my mind, yet I try to sugarcoat it at the same time. Apart from writing, I also love reading. One of my favourite books is J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. It's a fantastic series that introduced me to a beautiful world and ignited my passion for writing.

I’m also interested in video games. I absolutely adore the (almost completely abandoned now) RPG maker styled horror. There’s just something in them that gives me goosebumps. The atmosphere, the music that's often enough to scare you on its own, and usually amazing characters make it an experience that's hard to forget. One of the games I hold high in my list is Ib, made by Japanese developer Kouri. It has all of the above, and more.

I also love fighting games--everything starting from Skullgirls, Guilty Gear and Tekken through Absolver, For Honor and ending at Brawlhalla or Smash bros. But there is one game that is very dear to me. I played it long ago, and it was the first game I ever decided to do Tournaments in. It was called Little Fighters 2. It's the game that started my love for fighting games.

There is one more game that I’d like to mention, as it changed my whole life. It was Persona 4, and I played it when I was going through the lowest point in my life. This is a game that gave me back hope, thanks to the loveliest cast of characters that I have ever seen. I felt like I was actually interacting with people, and not just pixels on the screen. I had the best time of my life playing the game, and I listen to the soundtrack even after such a long time since completing it. Especially when I feel bad, it fills me with hope and reminds me of the most amazing characters I have ever known.

As you may have noticed I am a giant fan of good music. Usually, it doesn't matter what the genre is, as long as it melts my ears with delight. That being said, among my favourites are Rise Against (they tend to touch on a lot of serious topics, and their lyrics are easy to understand despite their deep meaning) Knife party, and Regina Spektor, who has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.

I have no idea what else to write about myself and my hobbies, but I do hope this introduction interested you in who I am and what I write. Thanks for your time. ^^
