What A Journey It Has Been and My First HPUD
May has officially come to an end, so I wanted to share a quick update on my Swiss life, which was mostly spent cooking and traveling this past month.
Speaking of traveling, one of the highlights of the month was a relaxing drive from Au to Lake Constance (Bodensee). I’ve included some footage of the trip in this post, showcasing the calm atmosphere of the Swiss countryside near the Rhine Valley. We passed through beautiful eastern Switzerland landscapes and charming Swiss villages.
My husband and I also took a road trip from Thurgau to Basel. While navigating Zurich's infamous Gubrist Tunnel, we hit some heavy traffic. It actually turned out to be a good thing, sparking a fun chat with my viewers about strict Swiss traffic laws, the polite "zipper" merging culture, and the high cost of living (like the time I paid 6 Francs which is over 300 PHP for a single scoop of ice cream!). It was a nice reminder that haste is the thief of treasures, and sometimes slowing down just gives you more time to connect with people.
Wrapping up the month's travels was a beautiful Sunday afternoon drive from St. Gallen up to the winding mountain roads of Appenzell for a birthday party.
