Fiddler is a swiss army knife for a developer to debug any HTTP request/response, performance, security etc.

Imagine a situation where you get a bug/defect on your production environment, you made a fix but how do you test/verify if the fix is working 100% perfect ?

To make things worst, lets say your local staging environments work fine even without the fix, it is only the production which requires the fix. You can't afford multiple production build cycles to check your fix.

Fiddler is the answer for the above problem, where you can verify your local fixes against the live website through proxy.

Fiddler provides much more than just debugging.

  • Runs as a local proxy
  • View, analyze and modify web traffic from any application that supports a proxy
  • Works on any website, app, software, platform independent.
  • Analyze caching, compression, page composition
  • Helps in performance testing, security testing, session manipulation etc.
  • It is free to download and use.
