I recently finished mixing Session Studio 2, an urban trap beat created by my neighbor and friend, Xielo. This isn't just any track: its rhythm is aggressive, mocking, and powerful. It's music that kills cynics. If you go wild, we'll send you to the clinic. It's all driven by chemicals: it's like competing, but with devastating energy, a song for the streets.
In this behind-the-scenes video, I show you how I put everything together with homemade resources: vocals recorded in my home studio, mixing done with compressors, equalizers, and reverb directly from my DAW. The clean mix contrasts with the street visuals of the shoot, where there is no grandiloquence, just the real vibe of the neighborhood.
The process was raw and authentic. I used fragments from the original long video where I explain plugins, and combined them with visualizers, animated texts, and street shots to give the video structure and make it more than just a technical talk.
