Wednesday Walk: Up and Down the Channel"!

Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!

It is #wednesdaywalk #28 of 2026, and I was going to go to the Park downtown - mostly for the walk itself, but... I decided to stay here - a good thing as well I will show you later.
But first I want to thank @tattoodjay for this community - #wednesdaywalk ,

And first this little pink flower that popped up!

How these keep happening is back in March I bought a bag of mixed Wildflowers. I just sprinkled them in pots and all kinds of things pop up!

And now down the Channel!
So first I stopped by the lower Breeding Pond. And I saw this "Reddish Egret" here doing a running "take-off"!

And landed a few feet away,

After a minute or so it took off again across the Pond,

I then continued on to the Channel and look,

Yes this is a traffic jam and it runs all the way to Padre, over Pita Island. I am very glad I choose to to drive into town!
And here is another view as how far because it is to the bridge and down the other side,

Now the bad thing as you can see is once your in it... Your stuck! There is no place to turn off at all!
Meanwhile under the bridge I saw people fishing,

And in between the bridge supports,

Another Heron!

Since it was pretty gray there and not much worth seeing - rode up the Channel to the Park.
Over there I saw someone feeding Seagulls,

And for a few seconds they were just standing there "milling" around,

And then - "Bam"!

Suddenly there was a whole lot more, and they were everywhere!

And kept coming!

I caught two photos of this one,

And then they started disappearing as fast as they showed up!

And that was my #wednesdaywalk this week,
