Wednesday Walk: "A place I have never been, sort of"!

It is #wednesdaywalk #30 of 2026, and I went someplace I had never been before - but worked for years right next to!
But first I want to thank @tattoodjay for this community - #wednesdaywalk ,

So I really wanted to do something different this week, and I had an idea! Next to where I used to work about a decade ago at Fat Cat Boats. A quick look at the old shop,

And down the street,

Very Interesting times for sure! Now I had read that they were going to build a "walking bridge" so you could walk or bike across to the mainland from here. I had also heard from a lady I met that they had already put up the first of the Park - so I wanted to see, and was surprised!

I first drove around to the back to see if I could get down to the water - "No"! It's blocked off as you can imagine for construction!

So I drove around to the front and yes there's a little Pine forest (woods?). They are Salt Cedars and are Native to here,

Here is a look from inside the tree line,

And another as this is so very rare here! Felt like a small patch of somewhere else,

Walking around I found that there were tables here as well,

These tables all had this screwed on them,

I also found this path into the underbrush,

And a look up at the tree tops. These are the only trees that can grow tall here,

I also found these which I think is an awesome touch! The short one says "Reasers are Leaders", and the taller one says, Pine Grove Little Library -"Life is better in the woods"! Truly Awesome!

The trash can with another of those plaques. Better keep your clothes on in this Park!

And plastic bags if you walk your dog.

This is a pretty nice Park to find out here. For sure it's the closest thing we have to a woods. Of course when they build the back area down to the water that will somewhat change.
