Golos Not Quite Dead
Is Golos Dead?
It was focused on the Russian language community. It was a fork of Steem and instead of dollars like Hive, it had "gold". This was "Golos". Golos main site has been in "read only" mode for over four years. Does that mean the blockchain underneath is no longer growing? It looks like it has evolved into over to something of another URL, with other tokens completely. There are no more Golos and no more Golos backed gold. Among the top witnesses of Golos according to the golos.io site are accounts with the same username as these Hive accounts: @vik
@ropox
@archange
@anyx . Old accounts dating back to the fork creation of Golos I suspect will be controlled by the same user. I didn't go and research these accounts or the date of the fork. Perhaps these users have something to add.
Apparently Golos has changed into Cyberway: https://cyberway.io/. The site speaks of smart contracts, and one user one vote. You can login with your old Golos credentials at https://stihi.io/@leprechaun/wallet/cyber-balance. Before doing so, I'd recommend you change your master password on Hive in case they are the same as on Golos.
Whereas in Hive, you can speak any of twelve major languages and use Proof of Brain.blog or Ecency and use the interface. For Cyberway, you have to speak Russian to use it. In Russian "golos" means "voice".
