SplinterGlossary: Splintershards (SPS)

The cryptocurrency governance token for the Splinterlands game.

When fully developed, SPS is designed to give more decision-making ability and control to players, holders of the assets, and stakeholders.

SPS node validators will help decentralize Splinterlands and act as oracles between Hive and Binance Smart Chain, where the SPS DAO smart contracts are set up.

At the same time, SPS is the only reward token of the game, replacing DEC, which reduced its scope to a transactional use case (for buying or renting), and paying for building upgrades.
