My ancestors own version about "FORTUNE FLOWER"

This fortune flower is planted by my mother. It was very tall before but then Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) happened and made it look like this.

It's been a long time since it's been in our front yard and it was my first time seeing it has a flower so I was amazed. I took a lot of pictures. It has these cute buds and they are pink with white ones on top of it.

It grows this much and it smells good too. Even if I am inside the house I can still smell it. Smells like the sweet fragrance of perfume. The reason why there's a lot of bees buzzing.

Our ancestors say that it's not common for the fortune to bear flowers. If this will have flowers it means that the family will be blessed. Or like the family will receive a great blessing, a great fortune. I actually can't figure out if it's true or if the great blessing is yet to come.

So now, we just continue taking care of it and water it if there's no rain.
