Two frames from last Sunday night under pristine skies
I spent last weekend doing astrophotography near the Tatra Mountains. I used well weather conditions to capture some night shots.
The first image captures the rich region around Sadr in the Cygnus constellation — a deep-sky tapestry filled with emission nebulae. Visible here are the delicate structures of the Butterfly Nebula (IC 1318) and the Crescent Nebula (NGC 6888), both shaped by powerful stellar winds and intense radiation from massive stars. This area is a true showcase of the dynamic processes sculpting our galaxy.

The second image shows the Milky Way stretching above the Tatra Mountains, photographed from the Litwinka viewpoint in Czarna Góra (Podhale, Poland). A warm glow from nearby towns contrasts with the cool, star-filled sky, creating a layered landscape where Earth and cosmos meet.
