The Unseen Threat.

Leaving the rangers, I entered the processing unit and discovered the remains of a brutalized guard. I encountered a strange, vanishing monster near a blocked Hiss door, which I defeated before finding intel on the Black Rock Quarry. Using my security clearance, I called the elevator to head deeper into the facility.

I still had to get to the Black Rock processing to move forward with the mission. So, leaving the rangers behind at the safe point, I walked through that door alone.

On my way, I found this dead body lying in the middle of the hallway. I saved that scene properly using the photo mode to get a closer look at the details. This ranger had suffered a very brutal death at the hands of the enemies lurking in the building.

What should I say about this specific ranger who lost the lower part of his mouth? It was really a terrible sight to witness, and I tried to capture the horror of the moment through the lens. It was a grim reminder of how dangerous the Hiss can be to anyone caught in their path.

Here was this big hall room where a door was blocked by a large Hiss entity. This was the path that would lead me directly to Black Rock processing if I could clear it.

I interacted with a storage part that should have had some black rock prisms inside, but unfortunately, it was empty.

Right about that time, something appeared in the room that looked like a completely new kind of monster. I guess it was the same monster that Arish talked about during our last conversation. It moved with a strange, jittery energy that made it very hard to focus on its physical form.

The monster disappeared into thin air just as I was about to launch my first attack. It came back suddenly when I was looking around the room, trying to surprise me from behind.

I was too fast in fighting it, using my powers to strike before it could vanish again. After a short while, it looked like I defeated the monster, though it seemed a bit too easy for such a scary creature.

Once the monster was gone, the door of the lab finally got free from the Hiss entity that was holding it shut. After getting inside the office, I found some very important information about the Black Rock Quarry. The documents mentioned that the quarry actually had the Black Rock prisms I was looking for.

I was able to open the restricted door at the back of the lab. I walked toward the shaft and called for an elevator to get me down to the Black Rock Quarry.
