"Bridges"
"BRIDGES"
rage loaded
gage explosions
a positive omen
broken.
returning to bridges burnt down
gravesites overturned,
a village in ashes.
internalized
immobilized
demoralized
ostracized.
witching fire blazes inside
big brown eyes that walk beside
heaven sent brimstone
what was thrown
remains unknown
what was implied
remains denied.
She walks upstream beside
the bank of the river
paving the path home.
Home is a tune
sung at the moon
finally, undeniably -- mine.
h o m e a t l a s t
h o m e a t l a s t
Off in the distance
the mountain grange
built from stones
once thrown,
now owned.
homeatlast.
