The turmeric plant that we know is one of the spice and medicinal plants. I planted it directly on the ground, initially just for fun, but after hearing stories from friends and neighbors that turmeric was very good for health and how to use it was very easy, I started to like it.

Growing turmeric is very easy and can be a very promising business. at least it can meet the family's daily needs. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't require good care and maintenance. In the cultivation process, care must be taken so that turmeric can obtain satisfactory results. This is very important in determining the quality of the crop. Quality seeds will determine quality results, for this reason it is necessary to pay attention to seeds that come from turmeric that are good, healthy, resistant to pests and disease. Make sure the turmeric seeds come from good and healthy parents and are resistant to pests and diseases. Usually a good parent has reached the age of 7 months. That's what my neighbor said who was cultivating the land to plant turmeric.

The planting process is carried out by placing the prepared turmeric rhizomes in moist soil, making sure the rhizomes are not exposed to direct sunlight. Then sprinkle the turmeric rhizome with enough soil, and water it every 2 days so that the soil stays moist and the seeds grow well. Fertilization is also included in how to grow turmeric in your yard which is no less important, in this case, my friend suggests using compost or organic fertilizer.

Turmeric plants should be harvested when they are 7 months old, or you can also see when the turmeric plants change their leaves. The leaves, which were initially green, turn yellow or wilt, this is so that the turmeric rhizomes produced do not wrinkle, are healthy and remain fresh even if stored for a long time.
