Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

It is no secret that a shift to sports utility vehicles have been happening in the last few years. Land Rovers used to dominate this segment but luxury car makers have begun to compete with their sporty almost super utility vehicles.

We have models such as the Cayenne by Porsche (as shown) but also Tesla's Model X, the Land Rover SVR, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, G-Wagon by Mercedes, the BMW X Series, Audi RSQ series, and of course the rumoured SUV by Ferrari yet to be announced.

All of them making a crossover from a sports car to a sports suv, and some veering on super car territory. I would argue that this years Turbo S makes the cut. It is truly a monster of a car and in a straight line would out do almost all the cars mentioned above minus the Plaid version of the Tesla Model X. But the good thing about Porsche, is they have so much tradition in building a platform which drives every bit as well as it does fast. The interiors are second to none, and the handling also the best. There is much more to a car than just the way it looks and the way it goes in a straight line, and if you cared about more than just these two things, it is hard to not shortlist this years Cayenne Turbo S.
