Matt downed the remaining coffee in his mug. He couldn't keep his eye off the spirited brunette who sat a couple of tables away from him with her friends.

He walked over to them. "I couldn't help overhearing your debate, may I join you?"

The lady nodded with a smile. "Please! We're just having fun poking some holes at the norm that the earth is round."

"Really," Matt said. "Do you disagree?"

"I don't know. What if it's actually flat?"

"What?" Her friends echoed at the same time and laughed. Then they delved into historical controversies and scientific breakthroughs.

After a while, when the small gathering split up, Matt quietly asked for the brunette's number. Sheila gladly gave him.
