Bee Beard

Hello Hive. 😃 I'm back again with another Hive account@drabble.club microfiction, that is #zapfic100, inspired by the prompt "bee beard" taken from @daily.prompt's post

"Honey, the mayor just announced a bee beard competition at the county fair," Mabel yelled from the kitchen, her radio reporting the news.

Her husband, a beekeeper, came up behind her. "For real?"

"Yea."

She chuckled as her husband waved outside by the window, donning his bee beard. She raised the window glass, laughing. "Good luck honey. Everyone will certainly be buzzing about this."

At the county fair, the crowd parted way once they glimpsed the beekeeper and his bee beard. No one wanted to get stung.

Then he sneezed, sending the bees into a frenzy. "Now that's a buzz," he said to himself.
