A bike ride through the forest

 One day, my kids and their grandfather went fishing in the car. I wanted to join them, so since I didn't have a car, I went by bike. I arrived at the first lake on the road, but they weren't there. Naturally, deep in the forest, my cell phone service was lost, so I couldn't call them. So I went to check out another lake.

 Along the way, I took a wrong turn. The road ended and turned into a path. Then some strange structures appeared in the trees. I examined them. I wondered if they were duck hunters' lodges or something similar. After sitting in the treehouses for a while, imagining myself as Galadriel inspecting a new elven village, I headed back along the same road. I never found the second lake, and I returned home empty-handed.
