Salted Chocolate Cookies

I can't remember the last time I baked cookies. When I was younger I used to bake cookies a lot, especially those simple sand cookies that even the most inexperienced person can bake. Even though they were very plain (in taste and look), it was a lot of fun to make them. I used to make them in all kinds of shapes with cookie cutters that my mom bought for me. Back then I thought they looked amazing and I was very proud of what I had created, but they probably looked like any other child made cookies haha.

Now that I've matured and became a lot more experienced in baking, I decided to bake some cookies again. But this time not as plain as sand cookies: Salted Chocolate Cookies.

I had to use a whole bar of butter for these cookies, which is a lot! I used salted butter for (obviously) the saltiness and sprinkled some extra seasalt over the cookies before baking. For my taste they were a little bit too salt when they came out of the oven, but the sweetness of the chocolate in combination with the salt is so yummy!

How do you like your cookies best? I'm thinking about baking New York Style Cookies next week, but requests and recommendations are always welcome!

Lots of love,
Dymph
