My Burning Desire

MY DESIRE

The way i desire to have the things that i want,
but the things i want keep moving further away.
My needs are reclassified as mere wants because
they seem out of my reach.

The way i desire to have a college degree,
one that others got without 'wahala', (Stress)
a degree that take a maximum of four years to get.
But for monetary barriers i might have to spend
doctorate years to achieve.

The way i desire to run my own business.
i have been looked down on and cheated as an employee.
Where are the ideas and where is the capital?
The rich keep getting richer......
life is a struggle.

The way i desire to have a family of my own
but does a 'struggler' have that luxury?
The wife i want to embrace,
the children i want to be proud of,
continue to remain dreams and wishful thoughts

Oh, how i desire to shine bright with smiles and goodwill
I want to make others smile too.
The intention is to smile, laugh and be happy
so, where from these tears of sorrow.
