How I came to Ecency/Hive

I was introduced to hive by a very close friend of mine who is eventually my course-mate at the university,@abduljawad002. He told me about how hive rewards it’s users and how decentralized it was.
I decided to do a lot of research on Hive and it turned out to be pretty good and a very good place to be.
Ecency or Hive is a platform that values freedom of speech, privacy and the ability to earn rewards for creating blogs or contents across so many communities.

Its distinctive social media strategy and use of blockchain technology captured my interest. I quickly learned that Hive was decentralized, which meant that content could be submitted without concern of censorship or deleted because it was not governed by a single entity or government.
The most fascinating aspect of Hive was it rewarding system. Users could earn cryptocurrency in the form of tokens by contributing to the platform through posting, commenting, and upvoting contents.

When I registered for Hive, my friend @abduljawad002 gave me a Hive T-shirt which he received at a program which was organizing by the Hive community here in my country Ghana.

He also gave me an exercise book which you can see in the picture above. I made an introductory post and that was my first content on Hive.
I have mostly enjoyed my trip to Hive. I've found a platform that appreciates my work, and offers a friendly and encouraging community. I’ve been on ecency/hive for less than a month now and I’ve made a few great friends like @brittandjosie, @melinda010100 and @jamerussell who have helped me a lot with my posts. I wholeheartedly urge you to give Hive a try and I bet you’d be as much fascinated as I am.
