I captured the quiet and natural moment of this variegated grasshopper while working in the farm.
Zonocerus variegatus, commonly known as the variegated grasshopper, is a brightly colored insect native to tropical Africa. It is found in grassy fields, farmlands, forest edges and urban gardens.
This grasshopper is easily recognizable due to its striking appearance, typically green with bold yellow, red, and black markings.
