I bought some steem using Coins.ph and BlockTrades

The crypto market is depressing lately. It's a good and bad thing. It's bad for me cuz I bought some when its a bit high. I just started buying cryptocurrency a few months ago and its not looking good for me. It is good if you are planning to buy some crypto and I wanted to buy more but I dont have much to spare.

I wanted to try buying steem and bought some using blocktrades. I bought approximately 100 steem to see first how it works. I'm planning to buy more later. I didn't know it was easy to do.

Here's how I did it:

Go to your wallet on steemit then click the 'Buy Steem or Steem Power' button on the upper right corner

BlockTrades will open.

Place the amount of STEEM you want to buy to see how much you're paying, or the amount of BTC you are willing to pay for to see approximate amount of STEEM you'll receive.

Place your steemit username for the address. Place anything on the memo (I placed "buy steem")
Then click 'Get a new Deposit Address'

I used my coins.ph to send BTC.

Go to your BTC Wallet on Coins.ph then click 'Send'

Choose 'Scan QR Code' then scan the QR Code provided by BlockTrades for your deposit address

Input the amount of BTC you're paying. You can place any amount you want as long as it doesn't exceed the Deposit Limit on BlockTrades.
Then choose which blockchain fee to pay. I chose 'Low' cuz I'm a cheapskate and I'm not rushing.

I was asked for my 2FA code. If you don't have 2FA enabled on your coins.ph, then this wont pop out.

You'll get this confirmation if it was sent.

After 18 minutes, I received my STEEM. I got 98.329 Steem.

I guess it's better to just convert some of my BTC to STEEM while it's low then delegate my SP to some bid bots. At least, I'll be earning still even if its small.
