Testing Hive Tips beta

When I saw this post I got excited, people who follow me on twitter know I give away all my BAT tokens earned by participating in the BRAVE Browser Reward system. It looks like this Dapp is following along the same lines.

Works well with Brave Browser and Hive Keychain

So following the video tutorial, I went into Twitter, searched for Jack Miller, then sent him 1 Hive. Now I know what you are thinking.

SCAM ? EVERYONE IS SENDING JACK MILLER HIVE

This is the same problem I have with donating BRAVE Tokens to people on twitter. You really have no idea the person you are sending to can accept the token. With BRAVE you get a notification BEFORE you send to this person, can accept BAT tokens (which isn't often from my experience).

And this is the reason I'm using @JackMillerOZ, to test this Dapp (I hope he doesn't mind because I need to make sure it works). Imagine sending HIVE to a person not set up, I wonder what happens to it.

I use Hiveblocks to verify all make actions on the blockchain, and as you can see, Jack Miller received the HIVE.

You can also click on the Hive Tips Icon at the top of your Browser, select History, to view all your interactions.

My thoughts:

I really like this, especially when the other platforms are added. It is really important for those who want to receive HIVE this way, is to configure it correctly from the start.

I have Twitter configured to accept HIVE tokens, gmail and youtube are not available with this beta version.
