Freezing the ovum to avoid pregnancy

This post is going to be very short. I didn’t want the day to end without making a post, and at the time of typing this, it was 10 p.m., with my weak body as I sat outside in the compound, enjoying the cool breeze.

Earlier today, when I got online, I came across a trend about one of the famous social media influencers freezing her eggs. Did you get that? The person in question went to the hospital to freeze her ovum, and it’s the first time a lot of people, including me, are hearing about this. She posted about it on her social accounts.

According to the few things I read about it, the process is meant to preserve the ovum so it does not get fertilized when sperm meets it. The freezing is more like preventing the ovum from reacting to the sperm for the period it is frozen, and it can be unfrozen when the person is ready to have children.

While this may seem fine and advanced, the question is, are these things really worth it? Don’t we think we are doing too much in this modern age? If I were God, I would have scattered this earth so that everyone would go and rest.
