ZEPHYR 2P - DEVELOPMENT

Hi guys! This is my column to introduce tent design products every Thursday. Every Thursday, I will review a sample for those who love tents so that you have more choices for your camping trips.
Today I will show tent lovers a small and pretty design with two version.

It's a special tent, not because of the style or the price, but because it's the last design I have for my old boss. Before the company changed owners, I was tasked with designing it, and I was able to finish it before my former boss left.
It was developed from the Zephyr 2P sample season of 2019. This tent model belongs to the ALPS brand, a brand from the USA. Most of the ALPS products are of good quality and reasonably priced.
Here is the Zephyr 2P season 2019 model. Its price is $299 on its web. One set of tents includes one inner tent, one fly, one set of poles, and bags (carry bag, pole bag, and peg bag).

And here is the zephyr 2P model that evolved from the old one.

There are three main differences between these two models:
The first is about the pole structure. The pole of the new model has added a curved segment at the back of the body. It helps to increase the space at the rear of the tent. The tent's back height has been increased, maximizing inside space and providing users with a sense of spaciousness and comfort.

The second difference is in the design of the tent. The new model has more another door in front of it. The fly tent also has another door at the front to synchronize with the inner tent. The style of the doors on the sides is also slightly changed. I don't know if it's necessary to have a door at the front because it already has two doors on both sides of the tent. It's a small model, but having three main doors is unnecessary. I think in this tent model, people demand aesthetics and quality.

The third difference is also the most important thing, which determines the value of this tent model. It is the raw material that makes this sample. The fabric used to sew this tent model is silicone fabric. This material is used for high-quality tents, with a relatively modest weight that makes the tent light and simple to move to various places without needing strength.

This fabric is resistant to water, fire, and heat insulation. However, this material causes difficulties for the tailor. It has a smoothness that makes it difficult to control the beautiful seam at will, requiring the tailor to be skillful and careful to produce a beautiful product.
The pole is made of high-grade aluminum, which has a hardness, stiffness, a strong bearing capacity, and a long lifespan.

Here is the tent that I put a lot of heart and soul into the sample. I like its style and fabric. After it was completed, my ex-boss brought it with him, and I don't know if the customer has checked any orders for this model or not. Currently, the product is not available on the company's website. It is probably the only model.
